We are a student-led investment collective and family office, founded in 2019 with a starting capital of no more than 3000 dollars. Now, we are currently managing close to 22,000 dollars in assets.
ABOUT OUR FIRM
Orca Capital was founded in 2019 by three young, aspiring student investors from Singapore who wanted to try their hand at investing. They started off with 3000 dollars in assets and nothing to lose. In just a year and a half, they have grown their capital to over 20K. Orca Capital remains a family office that only manages its own money as well as the savings of close friends, and is currently not accepting capital from outside clients or investors.

ORCA CAPITAL'S STRATEGIES
How We Invest

FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS
The roots of Orca's success may indeed by traced all the way back to a firm belief in strong fundamentals, modelling the way of Mr. Buffet himself. Our love of equities stems from the joy of truly understanding the essence of businesses and companies, along with where they are headed. This entails digging through 13Fs, company reports, company info, investor newsletters, balance sheets and cash statements, scouring them for indications in P/E ratios, EPS growth, debts, liabilities, equity stakes, sales growths as well as business models. What remains most important to us is whether the framework for the company makes sense and is promising. To us, this still remains the most powerful way of winning in the markets, and is applicable even to small-cap/newly-born companies with volatile price action, enabling us to spot emerging opportunities in all places

EVENT-DRIVEN MACRO PLAYS, MERGER ARBITRAGE AND NEWS
Merger arbitrage is also part of our bread and butter, The ability to look at a company's finances, both on the side of acquisition and target companies, requires a strong knowledge of investment banking, M&A, deal-making and corporate finance in general. These situations often result in a long/short position being placed dually. Global macro positions placed due to news and market-driving events require an instinctive sense for the real-world relationships that govern the complicated, vast commodities markets we navigate. These cause-and-effect dynamics are key to our investment decisions.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
Certain well-defined rules and indicators enhance our predictive ability too. We love looking for specifically momentum-based and breakout opportunities, as well as following pertinent trend-lines. Areas of support and resistant are heavily utilised too.
